This is of course MY OPINION – but below I have carefully selected twenty cities that I believe people should try to visit. (Of course I believe all cities are amazing and I only wish I could visit them all!) This is, however, a more realistic list of all the cities I have visited and/or hope to visit one day.
- *London, England: Check out any recent news article based on the “best city in the world” and London has been winning! All you have to do is visit and you will understand why! The culture, the transportation, the clubs, the food! There is always something for one to do when in London.
- *Paris, France: THE EIFFEL TOWER, I mean come on, who doesn’t want to see this beautiful piece of architecture in the flesh. Grab a baguette and some wine and listen to the beautiful Langue of the French people. Some people would argue that Paris is dirty or that the people are rude but I do not find it to be that way – it’s cleaner than New York or Chicago, and if you are polite and make an effort at speaking French you will be treated with kindness.
- Rio, Brazil: I have not had the pleasure of visiting Rio yet, but I would love to see Christ the Redeemer, visit the beautiful beaches, and most of all try to attend Carnival.
- *New Orleans, USA: Honestly one of the most amazing cities in the United States! The architecture, THE FOOD OMG. Especially during Mardi Gras, this city is the most fun.
- Agra, India: Although I have spoken to several people who have traveled to India and they have all agreed it sounds much better than it actually proves itself to be, I want to go to India terribly. I do fear the terrible discomfort of heat and food poisoning but I also think it would be worth seeing the Taj Mahal.
- *New York City, USA: I had to include New York because it is easily one of the most famous cities, however, I’m a bigger fan of Los Angeles 😉 Central Park is pretty great, and you are only a short train ride away from Coney Island!
- *Venice, Italy: I have been to Rome, Vatican City and Venice and surprisingly I found Venice to be the least tourist-y and also my favorite city! I did have the best food in Rome but I also feel Rome in overrated. Venice is beautiful and absolutely magical, try and visit this city before it’s gone!
- Sydney, Australia: basically anywhere in Australia! Melbourne is supposed to be pretty awesome – I would love to visit Sydney or
- Bangkok, Thailand: Ride an elephant, see the golden buddha and the grand palace. Thailand’s supposedly pretty inexpensive too.
- Moscow, Russia: One of the most amazing and beautiful looking sites in the world seems to be in Russia – St. Basil’s Basilica. I want to visit Russia so badly, it may be the top of my list!
- Dubai, UAE: Do I need an explanation really
- Cape Town, South Africa: The wildlife which includes penguins, Cape Town is known for it’s food, and wildlife – (Die Antwoord came from here) there is also the infamous Long Street.
- Cusco, Peru: Maccu Piccu!!!! DUH!
- Cario,Egypt : Unfortunately I do not think I will be able to travel here anytime soon because it isn’t the safest of places. But I would love to someday travel to Egypt and see the markets and pyramids.
- Las Vegas, USA: I haven’t been to Vegas yet and I feel like the only other city people hold to the same crazy and wild standard is Amsterdam – which I was a bit disappointed with soo… Vegas won this spot over Amsterdam.
- Tel Aviv, Israel: My uncle recently traveled here and recommends it. I also would love to go to the dead sea 🙂
- *Munich, Germany: The food, the beer, the environment, everything! Munich is so beautiful and I didn’t even travel there during Oktoberfest! Such an amazing city.
- Zimbabwe: I can’t decide on one city but I do want to see the Victoria Falls and go on a safari, or at least see some awesome wild life!
- San Juan, Costa Rica: The waterfalls, wildlife, and beauty of Costa Rica. I am hoping to visit in February – if you look on some budget airline websites flights can be found as cheap as 300$ !
- Bali: Snorkeling, Relaxing at a spa, Taking in the beauty all around, sign me up
